The Heart Behind WonderMovement
Helping individuals and families discover new possibilities through movement.

Hello, and welcome.
I’m Jennifer Ault. Thank you for taking the time to visit WonderMovement.
Finding the right practitioner is an important decision, and I hope this page gives you a chance to learn a little about me and the approach behind WonderMovement before we have the opportunity to meet.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work with children, adults, and families across many stages of life—in schools, hospitals, homes, skilled nursing settings, and private practice. Those experiences have taught me to consider the whole person and the many factors that influence how we move, learn, and participate in everyday life.
My interest in the relationship between the brain and movement began early in my occupational therapy career. During my clinical training, I observed neurodevelopmental approaches to treatment and was struck by the changes I saw in the way people moved and functioned.
As experienced clinicians helped me understand the neurological and movement relationships behind what I was seeing, I began asking deeper questions: Why was movement changing? What was the nervous system learning? And what might that make possible in everyday life?
Those questions have stayed with me throughout my career. Over the years, I’ve continued to deepen my understanding through training and clinical experience in sensory integration, neurodevelopmental and movement-based approaches, reflexes and their relationship to development and movement, and the ways the brain learns through movement. Each has added another perspective to the way I observe, think, and understand the individual as a whole.
I begin with the person. I observe, listen, and pay attention to what is happening in the moment—their movement, responses, strengths, challenges, and emerging possibilities. Those observations help shape the direction of each session, allowing therapy to evolve with the individual and build upon what becomes possible along the way.
My goal is to create opportunities for meaningful change while helping each individual and family feel supported, understood, and encouraged by what may become possible.
