Intensive Therapy Model

An intensive creates the opportunity to explore movement and build on change over consecutive sessions. Through thoughtful observation, gentle movement exploration, and an individualized approach, each session responds to what is emerging—supporting new possibilities for movement, participation, and everyday life.

What to Expect
Begin with Understanding

Before the intensive begins, time is taken to learn about current concerns, strengths, goals, medical history, and what matters most in everyday life. Intake information and conversation help provide a starting point for the first session.

Observe & Explore

Each intensive begins with careful observation of movement, participation, and individual responses. Treatment evolves from these observations, allowing new possibilities to be explored without following a predetermined sequence.

Build From Session to Session

Sessions are scheduled close together so observations and emerging changes can be explored and built upon. When multiple sessions are scheduled in a day, time between sessions allows for rest and everyday activity before returning for the next session. Frequency and pacing are individualized according to clinical needs, goals, and response to treatment.

Carry It Into Everyday Life

Throughout the intensive, attention remains on how changes in movement can support greater ease and participation in meaningful daily activities. Recommendations and home activities may be provided to help continue the exploration beyond the intensive.
